Baby Girl!

Makayla RuthAnn Salsbery
born at 4:28 am on January 28th
7lbs 3oz and 20 1/2 in long

On our way down to the hospital to be induced I started having contractions. God's timing is perfect. We are thankful we were already on our way because of the huge snow storm that hit Indy last night. Things progressed quickly and smoothly. Makayla and I are both doing well. We hope to post pictures later today.

The Plan...

Well the plan is for me to be induced tomorrow evening. So if all goes well then we should be holding our baby girl by Wednesday afternoon. It's funny how suddenly having a plan and knowing when we are going to have the baby makes me want to get up and clean, wash clothes, shop, etc. I wasn't feeling so motivated when all I could think about was how much longer I was going to have to wait. But now my "to-do" list is about a mile long. haha....wouldn't it be funny if all my hard work today threw me into labor. I kind of doubt it because I am having no "signs" but I guess you just never know.

So...hopefully I will be introducing you all to our baby girl on Wednesday. Stay tuned for more and we would appreciate your prayers tomorrow night and Wednesday!

And Still Waiting.....

Well we are still waiting for baby girl Salsbery. As of tomorrow she will be 6 days overdue and counting. I actually had contractions through much of the night last night, only to have them dishearteningly stop this morning. Needless to say I am tired today and trying not to be cranky! :) I have a doctor's appointment tomorrow morning so we will wait to see what he has to say but we may talk about setting up an induction sometime this next week, if she decides not to arrive sooner. Thanks for your excitement and prayers.

Still Waiting

For all you curious readers there is still no baby. She is officially 3 days overdue. I know its only been 3 days but it seems like its been forever already, especially when I am chasing a 2 year old everyday while carrying around this big baby! Hopefully she will make her appearance soon.

Happy Anniversary!

Well still no baby but today is our anniversary so atleast we have something fun to celebrate. I would just like to say Happy Anniversary to my wonderful and handsome husband. 3 years ago today I had the privilege of marrying Kreg. I consider myself a blessed woman. I just thought I would share a few pictures to commemorate the occasion.

Hard to believe we got married in January by the looks of these pictures. It was such a beautiful day...atleast a high in the 50s. I never would have imagined in three years we would be where we are today but I am thankful. God has been good to us.

No Baby Yet

Well for those of you out there wondering there is still no sign of baby yet. Hopefully she will be here soon because I think we are all starting to get a bit antsy. But I have been blessed over the last few days to have friends and family to hang out with so that has helped pass the time. If you live in the area or close by and you'd like to come help me pass the time feel free to call or just stop by.

Saturday night Kreg, Aiden, and I were feeling a bit silly so we took a few random pictures I will share. I have no idea why Aiden decided to put the glasses on but the more we laughed the more he wore them.

I love this picture of Kreg and Aiden!

look at that belly!

Aiden's 2nd Birthday Party

Yesterday we had a little birthday party for Aiden to celebrate the big 2!Wow....where did the last two years go? His birthday isn't actually until Wednesday (the 7th) but he didn't know that and it was much easier to have a party on a Saturday. I think Aiden's favorite part was just having so much family here. He is quite the social bug. The festivities started around lunch time with a party platter from Subway, followed by presents, and then some yummy homemade sugar cookies (which Kreg even helped me decorate). I really wanted to have a birthday party for Aiden before baby girl arrived so I guess since that has been accomplished she can now come anytime! Although I would prefer she doesn't come Wednesday so they each can have their own special birthday but if she comes, she comes.

Aiden and his cousin Luke. He was soooooo excited that Luke was here to play with him all day.

Presents!!!

And finally cookies!! This boy LOVES cookies so I didn't figure a cake was the way to go. Looks like he enjoyed them.

Aiden has made quite a few "big boy" strides in the last month. He no longer has his paci and he is officially in a big boy bed now. He is actually doing really well with it. It's a double bed we put on the floor so he looks so small when we put him to bed. He's been very good about staying in bed too, which I am very much thankful for. He is also starting to tell us when he has a dirty diaper (this includes going to retrieve a clean diaper, laying down without being told to, and then throwing the old diaper away all by himself). I know you may not have cared to know that but its pretty big stuff around here. I think he will be a good big brother, besides being a bit jealous to start with I'm sure.
