Praise!

First off I just want to glorify God for bringing Andy through a successful surgery and allowing him to go home last night (visit previous post for details or visit Cari's blog). We serve an amazing God! Praise be to the LORD God Almighty!

Secondly I praise God for sending His son Jesus to die on the cross for our sins. The gift of eternal life through faith in Jesus Christ is the most precious and wonderful gift you and I could ever receive. I am thankful (in a world headed in the opposite direction) to still have a holiday in which to celebrate Christ's resurrection and victory over death. He is Risen!
So for Easter weekend we had lots of fun to celebrate the Risen Lord. My college roommate, Heather, came to spend the weekend with us and I absolutely loved having her here. With two kiddos in the house it was much busier than the last time she was here but she got to see first hand our crazy yet beautiful life now. Saturday Heather and I took Aiden to his first Easter egg hunt at church. He came home with a bag full of candy I probably won't let him eat but I think he enjoyed his first hunt nonetheless. And on Saturday two more friends from Taylor came to visit, Dustin and Jess and there beautiful baby girl Brooke.
Aiden and Heather waiting at the start line for the Easter Egg Hunt. At our church it is more of an Easter egg race than a hunt. There are sooooo many little ones it is probably a lot easier this way.

Heather explaining to Aiden that he is supposed to run and pick up as many eggs as he can and put them in his bag. It was a slow start...took him a minute or so to figure out what was going on. Poor Heather...haha...it took every ounce of will power to hold back her competitive nature and not pick up all the eggs for Aiden.

Aiden's loot:

And during the Easter egg hunt Makayla snuggled with me in her moby wrap. Isn't she sweet! She couldn't help but take a little snooze.

And lastly a picture of Makayla, Aiden, and Brooke Saturday afternoon. I think Aiden was very proud to be sitting between these two lovely ladies. I'm not sure Makayla was so excited about it however.

I'm so impressed that you use the Moby wrap. Someone gave one to me, but I have yet to figure out how to use it! It's enormous! You are looking beautiful, by the way!
